Packaging Service
When you send an item through the post sometimes it feels like a lottery whether or not the item will arrive in the same condition as it was sent. We are experienced in packaging items to the highest standard and in most cases we over pack to give added peace of mind. Most delivery means offer insurance but in the small print state that you are not insured for breakages for antiques, ceramics and glass which are most probably the most breakable items sent through the post

Why not bring your items in to us and let us pack and send your items on your behalf. If sending an item you have sold on eBay add a little extra on to the cost of postage and packing which most buyers will pay to ensure they will receive the item in the condition they were sold

How much will it cost?

• A standard £2.50 per item for the first item then £2.00 per item thereafter as long as its done at the same time + packaging materials + actual postage cost (this is only applicable for single items. for packing of multiple items like tea sets please ask for price)
• 50p per mile for larger items that are hand delivered through a courier (this is the best option, you know the item has been delivered personally and the customer can be asked to sign that they have arrived the item in one piece)
• large/heavy items that are going overseas need to be dealt with on an individual basis and a price is given on enquiry, this will cost £10 packaging charge + packaging materials + postage
• Other packaging solutions can be tailored to your needs

Please note;
You will be responsible for customs declarations and paperwork, this can be passed on to the buyer but we strongly advise you obtain printed proof that the buyer/recipient is aware of this
Also the postal service used is responsible for delivery not us, we obtain proof of posting which is always available for your use and where possible we will help with all problems with delivery. We make no guarantees that the item cannot be damaged in transit as with the greatest force anything can be damaged no matter how well the item is packaged but as a point of principle if an item is damaged in transit we will investigate.

If you want to pack and send the item yourself but need the correct packaging supplies, we can sell you everything you need at very competitive prices. We will also if asked advise using our experience which materials you need and which you don't. We have been in the situation in the past looking for bubble wrap (or poly chips), a box the right size that is strong enough to carry the item which doesn't add extra unnecessary postage weight cost
